Design this site…
I am looking for someone to redesign the look and feel of this site. This is an opportunity for anyone who wants another project to put in their portfolio. It won’t pay, but lots of people get to see your work and it is for a good cause, and it is a professional project. This also gives anyone the opportunity who wants to create new features on the site (we can add sections, featured alum, featured work, etc.) to do so.
The site uses WordPress as its content management system (as many of you know), which is PHP, HTML, and CSS driven. And if you don’t want to mess with the functionality of things, you just need to know basic HTML and CSS.
If anyone (former or current student) is interested please let me know (I can give someone the “keys to the castle”). After all we can’t let Creative Writing look cooler than us (http://bhjournal.com/, way to go Nick at making us look bad).

You should check out my new project , http://www.ibikea2.com. By starting that I know how to modify the wordpress themes. I wouldn’t mind working on it, although I’m not sure how much I’ll have time to do.
I say that now, but I coded that whole ibike site in a night. Maybe I can do it to make up for dropping the ball on redaction.
Good luck with the bike site, I think that it has a lot of potential as interest in cycling grows. I started working on concepts for a bike site myself (beginner info, repair resources, etc. …), but haven’t got around to building one. I’ll let you know if I ever finish it, we can exchange links.
am i the only one that liked how the site looks now? oh well, i guess it makes sense for a student to design it.
The design is simple and easy-to-use, so I don’t mind it. I wouldn’t mind doing a re-design, but I’m sure there are some other students or former students who’d like a portfolio piece??
I like how the blog looks right now too =/
I have been working on my own site, but I don’t think I’d be up to the task of redesigning this. On my own site, I can’t get around the obstacle that I’m a huge geek.
So my site ended up looking like a 90’s Role Playing Game menu.

uh, Chad, the blinking start menu thing is pretty great!
Alright since many have chimed in saying that they like the way it is, I will leave it for now. If anyone wants to seriously tackle full on, shoot me an e-mail, perhaps it just becomes an enhanced version of what is here now.
If anyone is interested, I found this little site where this dude several videos that walk you thorough installing and designing the wordpress blog framework. For any of you who are interested in eventually redoing this site or one of your own in the future:
