EMU Web Position

This position came across my desk recently I figure I would post it here, and those of you who read this and know a student who can fulfill these responsibilities please pass this on. The position is for a web developer/designer for the Student Center.

Position: Student Webmaster

Duties: The Student Webmaster is responsible for the development, design and maintenance of the Student Center, and relating department, websites. Experience in all of the above areas is required. The Student Center web address is: emich.edu/studentcenter

Qualifications: Knowledge/experience with Dreamweaver, especially implementing templates, is also required. Experience with HTML and CSS, JavaScript and/or Flash is recommended. Basic knowledge of SEO is preferred. Applicants must be registered EMU students and have a cumulative GPA of 2.5 or higher.

Applicants will be asked to show an online portfolio or provide screen shots of website design, samples of source coding and design samples.

Work Schedule: This is a 20-hour per week maximum position during the fall and winter semesters with the potential for increased hours during the spring and summer terms as needed. The position starts as soon as possible.

Pay Rate: Starting pay is $7.40 per hour and is based on previous, relevant work experience.
