Jon Fenlon
Former EMU Graphic Design student Jon Fenlon (above, on the left), class of ‘07, passed away running the Detroit Marathon on Sat. of what appears to be heart failure. Jon studied abroad in London with me in Spring 2007 (a few images of his work below). He was an extremely talented student who quickly found success shortly after school as an art director at Campbell-Ewald. Beyond his professional accomplishments in life he was a vibrant person and a pleasure to work with.
He will be missed.

I went to middle school and high school with Jon and although I did not know him well, I still feel like I spent a lot of time with him in all the classes we shared together. I just found out the news today and i am beyond heart broken and shocked for one that I have not talked to him in years but also that something so tragic happened to such a great person. I wish we would of kept in touch more and shared more memories together, you were so extremely nice and pleasant when we were in school. I’m sure you are in a better place now, but please know that my thoughts and prayers are with you and your family. R.I.P. Jon
