Interactive design method

I’ve decided to change this blog entry into something more useful for EMU students, and explain the process we followed to create this site. If you’re creating a site by yourself, you might sketch out a design, create mockups, and code everything without having to illustrate many ideas. But, when you work with other designers and developers, more organization is often needed to streamline the process.

So, there’s this organization based in the Ann Arbor area that is trying to start a television show fostering conversation attempting to more completely define what is involved in a k-12 “21st century education.” I was asked to make a logo, so this is what I did… (more…)

job posting

Got this email from a former student who is doing well. Reply to him if interested or you have questions, because that’s all the info I got.

Andy, Ryan and Leslie,

I’ve been working as an intern with Campbell-Ewald for the last 6 months, and should be offered a full-time Art Director position with another creative group very soon. They will be searching for another intern to fill my shoes before I’m out of here, and I thought I’d put the word out to all of you in case you had any students interested. It’s a direct mail group that works with GM, OnStar, Wyndham Hotels, XM Radio, AC Delco and some others. Pay is 8 an hour, and they’d probably be looking for 2 people to split 40 hours. A great opportunity for anyone who’s interested in advertising…I can’t even describe how helpful it would have been had I done it while in school.

Let me know if you have anyone interested, or just pass my contact info over to them. Most of the art directors here didn’t even know EMU had a design program, but I’ve built up a good reputation so far…so it would be nice to keep it going.

Hope you are all doing well, and hopefully this helps someone.

Thanks.

Jon
