Eastern’s webspace is very limited not allowing me to put that much work out there to the public, therefore I will be uploading several videos (some new and some old) over the next week or so, so check back when you can. 

UPDATE: due to vimeo policy I cannot upload videos my students create. Their rules state that the creator must update the video or someone who “participated closely” in the creation of the video. While I interpret that to include teaching, which is very similar to art directing, apparently they see differently. I will explore other options to house the videos we make here.

EMU Friends of the Library need our help. They are having a contest and need us to do the following:

1. design a bookmark
2. design for a 11″ x 8″ canvas bag (2-3 colours) 
3. design a new logo for them

Each category will win a $100 gift certificate. These designs will give back to the EMU community as they are using them for a fund raiser to make the library better. Not only do you have a chance to win some money but you have the opportunity to give back to EMU. There are a few restrictions you must remember:

• bookmark and canvas bag must say “EMU Friends of the Library”
• your name and graduation year will appear on the design
• you can  have a printed piece to put in your portfolio
• they really want your design to “POP”
• let’s show the library how supportive we are

We originally watched this in Andrew’s 346 class and made sure to write a few of his quotes down. Mr. Rand was a very wise man.

Very cool stuff in this portfolio. I like the logo with the Dragon D and of course the Dracula poster. The Planet Caravan cover isn’t so bad either :)
