Jazz record cover archive
I stumbled upon this massive archive of old jazz record covers. Most notably are the covers done for Blue Note, which start here.

Late Monday our beloved professor Atzmon sent me some green screen footage of John McCain, a link to the Colbert Report Nation website and told me about the Colbert Report Green Screen Challenge (I don’t watch the show very often, so I had no idea this challenge existed). After thinking about it, I spent a good chunk of my day yesterday making this. I uploaded it around 6:30PM last night. Keep a look out and let me know if it airs.
I encourage those of you who, like me, need something to waste your time on to make an entry and submit.

I have been a bit absent from blogging for a while. Busy making work for others so that I can clear my plate and make work for myself. Design is a beautiful thing, especially because it lets you completely re-imagine the possibilities of the objects we encounter everyday. Watch this video about the BMW GINA.
Absolutely amazing!

i briefly spoke to david peterson at the detroit comic con - he’s the author and illustrator of mouse guard (nominated for 2 eisner awards - Best Publication for Kids and Best Graphic Album—Reprint). its a good story and the artwork is excellent and clearly displays his printmaking background from our very own Eastern Michigan University. GO EAGLES…or hurons.

I’m curious to know what people think of this design… I’m re-designing a college site, annnnd… now I have no opinion of what I’ve made so far, which is a problem. The photo is actually going to be a video/photo slideshow Flash insert. And, those two boxes are like widgets you’ll be able to move around and customize.
Any thoughts would be greatly appreciated!!
